Temple Beth El has a place for YOU!

We are a warm, welcoming congregation, offering educational, spiritual, and social opportunities for members of all ages and walks of life. We are dedicated to providing a nurturing environment in which all generations feel at home and share each other’s simchas and sorrows. In the spirit of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world), we embrace the larger community in which we live, the Jewish people, and the State of Israel.  We are affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism.

Please join us as we celebrate and honor Brad and Sheryl.

You are cordially invited to attend Temple Beth El's 95th Anniversary Champagne Brunch. This year’s honoree is Brad Finberg and Sheryl Block will be receiving an honorable mention. The event will take place on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 11:00 am.

Brad Finberg moved to the Lehigh Valley with his parents, Brenda and Ed, when he was four years old. Shortly after, the Finberg family joined Temple Beth El. Brad attended Hebrew school and, later on, celebrated his bar mitzvah and confirmation at the temple. He has held several positions throughout the years, such as Membership, House, and Security committees, and as a long-time Board member. Brad serves a vital role in keeping us up and running. His company, Micro Innovation LLC, has served the Temple for 15 years, handling most of our technological needs.

Sheryl Block has been a very active member of Temple Beth El for the past several decades. She has served as our Hebrew School administrator and taught our kindergarten classes over the years. Sheryl served as president of the Sisterhood for many years and still remains very active in the Sisterhood organization and is currently part of the presidium of 5.

Our major fundraiser provides the necessary funds for Temple Beth El. Dues alone do not cover these expenses, maintain our building, or religious school.

Let's Cook Together

FOODS OF OUR ANCESTORS

"I wish I had watched my Mother and Grandmother make the old recipes I loved."

Did you ever wonder why they didn't write those recipes down?

Those recipes were stored in their souls, they mostly did not measure, but they just knew, and added some of this and that. We are going to make those old recipes in 4 sessions.

Food is a big part of our Jewish culture. As we pass down our traditions to our children, we also need to teach them how to make the foods that represent our heritage.

1 Session in the TBE Kitchen ( approx 2 hrs each)           $15.00 per session

Dairy Fruit Kugel - Tuesday, 5/28/2024, 4pm - 6pm

Rugelach - Sunday, 9/15/2024, 9:30am - 11:30am

Borekas/pulled pastry Israel sandwich - Tuesday, 10/15/2024, 4pm - 6pm

                                    Hanukah cut out cookies - Sunday, 12/22/2024, 9:30am - 11:30am
