THE YESHIVA

BE A PART OF OUR NEXT SIYUM

HISTORY

In 2003 Rabbi Avraham Gaon had an idea to create a yeshiva for anyone who wanted to learn. To get accepted the only question you would be asked is ‘do you want to learn?’ No student would have to pay to learn or be required to pass a test.

The yeshiva is located in Fresh Meadows, NY. There is a morning and night seder for people who go to school and/or work to have an opportunity to learn.

RABBI AVRAHAM GAON

Rabbi Gaon learned for many years under the guidance of great Rabbanim both in Eretz Yisrael and the United States. For eight years he learned in Kollel Mekor Haim and was a Talmid Muvhak of HaGaon HaRav Eliyahu Ben Haim and HaGaon HaRav Naftali Gan Zvi Shlita. He received his Semicha from Rav Ben Haim and from the Rishon Le Tzion HaRav Mordechai Eliyahu. Rav Gaon served as the Menahel of Kollel Mekor Haim. He served as a member of the Sefardic Beit Din of Queens for many years. Most recently he has been the Rosh Yeshiva and Magid Shiur working with college age Bachurim.

EXPERIENCE A UNIQUE PATH

OUR METHOD

Every day people feel they get lost in the crowds. We support individuality and use it to help each student grow. Our students are encouraged to get college degrees in between yeshiva hours. Many have gone to top schools and have received their master’s in different fields. During that time they have completed multiple masechtot, full topics in halacha, and many sections of Torah.

Each seder starts with an open forum for students to ask their questions. There is no set topic for the forum and questions can be on any topic. After everyone has their questions we move on to learning halacha, mussar, mishna, and gemarah. (For a detailed schedule please visit our hours and schedule)

Our goal is to create the next leaders of our communities. You will gain the knowledge to open a sefer and to read it on your own. To determine the final halacha on a topic that you learn. Lead and give your own Shiurim. All while making life long friends and being given to the tools to apply your learning to your every day life.
