The Concordia University Chair of Canadian Jewish Studies is dedicated to the study of the Canadian Jewish experience. Through research and education, the Chair supports a wide range of projects of local, national, and international interest which contributes to this growing field of inquiry.
Congregation Beth Shalom is the the oldest synagogue structure in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. We are located in the downtown core of the nation's capital and less than a 15-minute walk from the Parliament Buildings. We offer a daily minyan, and Friday and Saturday night (Shabbat) services.
Beth Shalom Synagogue was built in 1952. It is an egalitarian shul, a member synagogue of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. Beth Shalom has about 230 families as members.
